I’ve been a semi-active twitterer for the last year or so. The draw to many people I know about Twitter is the idea that they can get, at a glance, a look into what their friends and acquaintances are up to. However, if you look at what people actually twitter, its not really [...]

Paul Saffo predicts the end of the US as we know it “by the middle of this century.” In this short YouTube snippet he briefly explains why the rise of City States (think: “Singapore” but hopefully with civil liberties) that are independent socio-economic zones are the future. It’s an interesting outtake from a clearly longer [...]

I’ve not been paying much attention to this whole Storm BotNet / virus thing b/c I am on a Mac, and, as everyone knows, us snotty holier-than-thou Mac users don’t really have to worry much about the crud that infects the Windows universe… however when a virus threatens to become (or may already be) the [...]

Apparently not the folks over at Quechup, because they have burned every possible smidgen of goodwill that people could have had towards them; all in about a week. [...]

I was surprised that Apple dropped the price on the iPhone on Wendesday too. I was more surprised at the immediate nasty reaction from some bitter iPhone purchasers – it’s interesting that these early iPhone user feel so cheated. I think that there’s more here than meets the eye than just the $200 [...]

I hope the Evan, Biz & Co over at twitter can roll back to their previous version … they announced a 2.5hr downtime at 12Midnight PT last night…and have been mostly down ever since. Ouch.
For anyone even thinking of picking on them, tread lightly. Running a startup, especially a popular one, is really, really tricky… [...]

One of my weak spots is for really good food. I am a serious foodie, and a serious cook (just ask anyone who knows me what Thanksgiving at my house is like… ) … of course like any serious cook, I am always on the lookout for more stuff to make, [...]
